Aged in 100% New American Oak
One of our few releases from Amador County, this Barbera is a dusty garnet color. It has distinct cherry-vanilla clafouti aromas, with hints of blackberry and sandalwood. Classically tart on the palate, balanced by a subtle touch of sweetness rounding out the mid palate, with lingering flavors of black raspberry and blackberries.
Barbera pairs nicely with herbaceous Northern Italian cheeses or blue cheeses. It can also pair nicely with higher tannin vegetarian foods like root vegetables and braised greens. Also try it with cooked mushrooms and rich, dark meats, and rich pasta dishes.
