The garnacha grape, also known by it's French name, grenache, originated in the Mediterranean region hundreds of years ago. It is now one of the most important grape varieties in both France and Spain. We love its rich, red-fruit notes and the quality we achieve from our El Dorado grown grapes.
This Garnacha is a gorgeous light garnet color, with cherry liqueur and cranberry aromas punctuated by pepper, cinnamon, and brown sugar notes. Med-full bodied tannic structure and mouthwatering acidity make this an excellent food pairing wine.
Spiced and herb-heavy dishes tend to pair well with Garnacha, such as Indian dishes, Moroccan stew, Sichuan, and Korean foods.
