This wine is dark garnet red with distinctive black currant and plum aromas and a bouquet of nuanced cedar, violets, leather, and cigar box. It has a supple, enveloping and jammy mid-palate, brown sugar and nutmeg flavors with a soft, lengthy, and smooth finish.
Fermented in small lots with different yeast strains and aged for 22 months in a mix of 80% new oak, including a mix of French and American oak.
A great food-friendly wine with ample body to compliment grilled red meats. We especially recommend pairing with a smoked brisket, grilled t-bone steak, or even a well made hamburger.
