Aged in 100% New French Oak for 20 months.
These grapes were sorted at the winery after being harvested early in the morning, destemmed and sent to tank to ferment. Fermentation took around 10 days, with daily punchdowns.
We love when wines are this varietally typical! This Garnacha is a gorgeous light garnet color, with cherry liqueur and cranberry aromas punctuated by pepper, cinnamon, and brown sugar notes. Med-full bodied tannic structure and mouthwatering acidity make this an excellent food pairing wine.
Spiced and herb-heavy dishes tend to pair well with Garnacha, such as Indian dishes, Moroccan stew, Sichuan, and Korean foods.
About Garnacha (AKA Grenache)
The garnacha grape, also known by it's French name, grenache, originated in the Mediterranean region hundreds of years ago. It is now one of the most important grape varieties in both France and Spain. We love its rich, red-fruit notes and the quality we achieve from our El Dorado grown grapes.
