In 2017 our little block of Corvina had a very small yield, so we produced a field blend and co-fermented our Montepulciano and Corvina together, for a blend of 95% Montepulciano and 5% Corvina. We aged the wine in 30% new American Oak, and 70% neutral oak for 18 months.
This estate-grown Montepulciano boasts a nose of dried berries, pomegranate, fresh blueberry, fig and leather. It is supple, juicy, medium-bodied, and structured to age for a few years, but it won't be around that long.
Paired at release with Heirloom Tomato & Kalamata Olive Bruschetta. Other food pairing ideas include pork shoulder, beef bolognese, beef Brisket, pizza, and duck breast.
