The Dark rich red color is paired with opulent red fruits on the nose and palate, with a healthy
serving of spices like white pepper, clove and anise the melts into a silky and lingering finish of
fresh tobacco leaves and leather.
Food Pairing
This wine pairs well with bigger rich dishes like lamb, duck, and Wagyu. This also pairs well with
heavy cream dishes.
About Zinfandel
Zinfandel is one of the more well-known varietals worldwide. It has it’s origins in Croatia where
it’s known as Crljenak Kaštelanski. In Italy it’s known as Primitivo. Due to the high sugar content
these grapes can achieve they’re a versatile wine making tool. When fermented to dryness the
wines Exhibit dark fruit with intense spice notes. When fermented to a lower alcohol level with
residual sugar such as an Amarone style, you get intense fruit on the nose and pallet and with the
spice and leather/tobacco components lying in the mid to back palate.
